The Center for Change Agents participates in the workshop “Evidence-Based Advocacy – Developing Policy Papers”
The Arab Network for Civic Education “Anhar”, in cooperation with the Jordanian Network for Education for All, and within the “Voices for Inclusive Education” project, held a specialized training workshop entitled “Evidence-Based Advocacy – Developing Policy Papers”, with the participation of a number of representatives of civil society institutions with the aim of enhancing their capabilities in influencing evidence-based educational policies.
The Center for Change Agents for Sustainable Development participated in the workshop, with the center being represented by Media, Communication and Programs Assistant Lana Al-Momani, as part of the center’s efforts to enhance data-driven advocacy skills and develop effective policy papers.
The Executive Director of the “Anhar” Network, Fatouh Younes, confirmed that this workshop comes within the framework of building the capacities of civil society organizations working in advocating for education issues, and enabling them with evidence-based advocacy tools that contribute to developing educational policies that are more responsive to the most needy groups.
The training covered policy and strategy concepts, the fundamentals of preparing and analyzing policy papers, and mechanisms for identifying problems, prioritizing issues, formulating recommendations, and constructing compelling arguments. The second day focused on identifying policy alternatives, enhancing the role of research in supporting education policies, and working within specialized groups to develop clear and actionable policy papers.
The center’s participation in this activity stems from its commitment to supporting efforts to develop more inclusive and equitable educational policies, and to enhance the role of civil society in dialogue and influencing decision-making.
