The Center for Change Agents participates in a specialized workshop to facilitate multilateral policy dialogue sessions.
The Jordanian Network for Education for All (formerly known as the Jordanian Coalition for Education for All) concluded a specialized technical training workshop on facilitating multi-stakeholder policy dialogue sessions, within the framework of the Education Out Loud program funded by Oxfam Denmark / Global Partnership for Education, with the participation of representatives of civil society organizations that are members of the network.
The Center for Change Agents for Sustainable Development participated in the workshop, with the center being represented by Media, Communication and Programs Assistant Lana Al-Momani, as part of the center’s efforts to promote participation in the development of educational policies.
The workshop focused on promoting evidence-based dialogue in developing education policies, highlighting priorities that include strengthening inclusive education, expanding community participation, and linking national policies to the local context.
The training also covered the use of policy analysis tools and discussed several priority issues in the education sector, most notably:
• Reviewing inclusion standards to ensure an inclusive school culture and enhance the role of teachers.
• Integrating people with disabilities into vocational and technical education (BTEC).
• Activating the role of parent councils in educational decision-making.
The workshop included practical applications and simulations of policy dialogue sessions, which enhanced the participants’ facilitation and communication skills, and contributed to the preparation of action plans for implementing dialogue sessions at the local level.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the network reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of more inclusive and equitable education policies, and to strengthening platforms for participatory dialogue between educational stakeholders and local communities.
