📢 A dialogue session to promote employment opportunities and empower youth in Ajloun Governorate
As part of ongoing national efforts to promote employment opportunities and reduce unemployment rates among young men and women, and to support social justice, political and developmental reforms, and economic justice for rural communities, the Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development and members of the Safe Youth Rural Space intend to hold a participatory dialogue meeting that brings together the management of the National Employment Program at the Ministry of Labor and youth leaders in Ajloun Governorate.
This meeting comes in line with national trends aimed at empowering young people economically and enhancing their active participation in the local development process, through the development of quality programs that respond to the needs of the labor market and keep pace with the rapid changes in various productive and service sectors.
The meeting will focus on bridging the skills gap and enhancing young people’s readiness to engage in the labor market by providing them with the required professional and life skills, and linking them directly with available job opportunities in the private sector.
The meeting will also address the most prominent challenges facing young people in accessing decent job opportunities, including limited practical experience and the weak alignment between education outputs and market needs, in addition to reviewing promising opportunities in vital sectors in Ajloun Governorate, especially the agricultural and tourism sectors, as well as the services sector.
This meeting constitutes an important dialogue platform to enhance the partnership between the Ministry of Labor, civil society organizations and the private sector, which contributes to developing practical and sustainable solutions to employment issues, and strengthens the integration of national efforts in this field.
The meeting also aims to listen to the visions and experiences of the Ministry of Labor and the National Employment Program in the field of supporting training and qualification, and to explore prospects for joint cooperation to design effective empowerment programs that contribute to building the capabilities of young people and enhance their opportunities for economic integration, especially in rural areas.
It is worth mentioning that the safe political youth rural space is under the umbrella of the Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development, in partnership with the Ajloun Community Radio, and in cooperation with Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, and aims to provide a sustainable youth space to promote the developmental and civic participation of young people in rural areas.
