A dialogue session to promote green entrepreneurship and empower youth in rural communities
As part of national and international efforts to promote the green economy and empower youth economically, the Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development, with the participation of members of the Rural Youth Political Safe Space, intends to hold a participatory dialogue meeting that brings together the Global Green Growth Institute and youth leaders in Ajloun Governorate.
This meeting comes as a continuation of the dialogue that addressed the role of entrepreneurship as a tool for providing job opportunities in rural communities, which discussed the challenges facing young men and women, the reality of community entrepreneurship, in addition to reviewing successful models of entrepreneurial initiatives, and putting forward practical recommendations to promote a supportive environment for green businesses in Jordan.
🌱 Meeting topics:
Promoting green entrepreneurship as a pathway to creating sustainable job opportunities
Bridging the skills gap among youth and entrepreneurial thinkers
Supporting and empowering graduates to launch their own projects
Exploring promising opportunities in green sectors (sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, adventure tourism (cultural and digital)).
The meeting aims to discuss the priorities of young men and women in Ajloun Governorate, and to explore the possibility of designing a specialized training program with the support of the Global Green Growth Institute, which contributes to developing green leadership skills and enhances the readiness of young people to enter the labor market or establish their own projects.
This meeting also constitutes an important dialogue platform to benefit from the Global Green Growth Institute’s expertise in supporting innovation and environmental initiatives, and to explore cooperation prospects for developing sustainable empowerment programs that enhance the role of youth as active partners in economic and environmental development.
🌍 The organization of this meeting comes in line with the trends that support the transition towards a green economy, promote the efficient use of resources, and enable local communities to adopt sustainable, low-emission development models.
📌 It is worth mentioning that the safe political youth rural space is implemented under the umbrella of the Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development, in partnership with the Ajloun Community Radio, and in cooperation with the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation, and aims to promote the developmental and civic participation of youth in rural areas.
