Training on Advocacy for Members of the Rural Women Forum – Mutasawiya Movement
Ajloun – Safaraa Al-Reef for Training and Sustainable Development, in partnership with the Center for Change Mediators for Sustainable Development and in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, will hold an advocacy training within the “Rural Women Forum” to prepare for the conference launching the policy paper titled “Towards Inclusive Local Governance: Amending Local Administration Law No. 22 of 2021, related to the empowerment of Jordanian women.”
The training aims to develop the skills of members of the Rural Women Forum – Mutasawiya Movement on advocacy tools and political dialogue methods. It contributes to supporting advocacy efforts to amend the Local Administration Law, enhancing women’s participation in local decision-making positions, discussing key challenges and opportunities in political life, and working on formulating practical recommendations on the agenda of decision-makers. This aims to help build a more inclusive, just local governance system with equal opportunities for all, in line with the fifth Sustainable Development Goal, the National Women’s Agenda, and Jordan’s political modernization vision.
Twenty-five members of the Rural Women Forum will participate in the training, which will be held over three days, from September 15 to 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the Center for Change Mediators for Sustainable Development hall in Ajloun Governorate.
