The Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development is an independent nonprofit organization that seeks to enhance cooperation among individuals and institutions to support sustainable development. The Center brings together various stakeholders, including civil society, governments, and the private sector, to develop impactful projects and initiatives aimed at empowering communities, with a focus on youth and women, and contributing to creating positive change.
Establishment
The Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development was established to launch comprehensive development efforts targeting communities at the local and national levels, with a special focus on rural communities.
Initial Launch / Ajloun
The Center launched its first voluntary executive plan for Ajloun Governorate, which was signed by local decision-makers. This step aimed to identify and implement community development priorities within a participatory and transparent framework.
First Job Fair
The Center organized the first job fair in Ajloun Governorate, with the participation of more than 50 private sector companies, as part of the “Opportunity: You Give – Future I Give” project. The event aimed to create employment opportunities and connect young men and women with the actual labor market.
First local radio station
The center established “Voice of Ajloun Community Radio” as the first local radio station in the governorate. It aims to be a free media platform that expresses the voices of youth and the concerns of rural communities, contributing to raising community awareness and promoting local development.
First Launch / Jerash
The voluntary implementation plan for Jerash Governorate was launched, aiming to assess community needs and priorities. Decision-makers in the governorate adopted this plan, reflecting their commitment to promoting sustainable development.
Second Launch / Ajloun
The second voluntary implementation plan for Ajloun Governorate was launched under the title “Commitments 2023 – 2026.” This plan represents a continuation of the participatory work process, with new decision-makers committing to its implementation in pursuit of achieving sustainable impact in the community.
The center works to create a local environment that fosters social innovation and sustainable development by engaging local communities, promoting transparency, and providing opportunities for youth and women in rural areas. This contributes to improving the quality of life and encouraging active participation in building a better future for communities.
