Ajloun Youth Between the Digital Reality and Missing Opportunities
By: Amani Al-Saeedah — Member of Safe Political Youth Space (Rif Youth Space)
The world today lives in an era of technology and artificial intelligence, where digital skills have become an essential requirement for entering the job market. However, Ajloun Governorate still faces limited and traditional job opportunities, despite the expansion of the digital economy in Jordan and worldwide.
The youth in the governorate suffer from a clear gap in digital skills, such as:
-
Using electronic applications and platforms
-
Remote work
-
Developing digital businesses
The problem is exacerbated by the absence of local applications for daily services such as transportation, delivery, and food, making Ajloun the only governorate in Jordan without these services. This increases the difficulty for youth to integrate into the digital economy.
Practical recommendations:
-
Advanced digital training programs within knowledge stations, including artificial intelligence, digital marketing, and e-commerce.
-
Training programs ending with employment in cooperation with the Vocational Training Corporation and the private sector to ensure transition from learning to practical application.
-
Development of local digital applications for transportation, delivery, and daily services supported by government and private incentives, enabling youth to manage and benefit from them.
In conclusion,
Investing in these steps opens new horizons for the youth of Ajloun to integrate into the digital economy, providing quality job opportunities that promote local development and reduce unemployment.
