In rural communities, where women’s roles are often confined to traditional frameworks, Mariana ‘Iswah has emerged as a pioneering voice working for change from within the countryside.

As an active member of the Rural Women’s Forum – Equal Movement, Mariana has devoted her efforts to promoting the political and economic participation of rural women. Over the past years, she has led numerous dialogue and awareness initiatives targeting both women and men—especially during parliamentary, municipal, and local council elections.
