🌿 Suleiman Jamil Al-Qudah: From a Personal Dream to a Sustainable Community Project in Rural Ajloun

🌿 I am Suleiman Jamil Al-Qudah, a social and media activist from Ajloun Governorate. I was raised with a deep love for my region and a strong pride in its rich heritage. From this deep-rooted sense of belonging, the idea of “Beit Khairat Ajloun” was born—a project that was not merely a traditional restaurant, but a comprehensive vision to promote local identity and achieve community development.

🚀 From a Simple Idea to a Leading Initiative

 

🌿 My journey began with limited resources, but it was fueled by great passion and a strong belief that change starts with initiative. I envisioned “Beit Khairat Ajloun” as more than just a restaurant; I saw it as a social space that embraces heritage, revives traditional Ajlouni cuisine, and opens doors to employment and empowerment—especially for skilled women in cooking who had not been given the opportunity to showcase their talents.

🔄 Turning Point: Investing in Skills and Knowledge

 

🌟 The turning point in my journey came through my participation in the “Pioneers – From Innovation to Formation” project, implemented by the Change Makers Center for Sustainable Development under the “Service Contract” program. Through this initiative, I received specialized training in entrepreneurship, management, and strategic planning, which enabled me to build a balanced and sustainable business model that combines economic viability with social impact.

 

💰 Financial Empowerment and Strategic Expansion

 

🌟 With support from the program, I received a financial grant that enabled me to expand the project and develop its infrastructure. This phase included renovating the restaurant, expanding the menu, and hiring more women from the local community. “Beit Khairat Ajloun” is no longer just a restaurant; it has become a living example of how a small project can transform into a platform for community empowerment and a cultural tourism destination in Ajloun.

More importantly, it has become a community-rooted success story—a source of pride for the local people and a testament to how investing in local potential can truly make a difference.
