📘 A Success Story: Mohammad Ali Al-Qudah – The Voice of Local Governance and the Architect of Development in Ajloun
📘 In Ajloun Governorate, where development challenges intersect with people’s aspirations for a better life, Mohammad Ali Al-Qudah emerged as one of the most prominent local administrative leaders, crafting a modern model of good governance and participatory management within the Greater Ajloun Municipality.
From his position as Assistant to the Mayor for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Al-Qudah didn’t settle for routine tasks—instead, he led a qualitative transformation in municipal management, grounded in strategic planning, community engagement, and enhanced transparency.
🏛️ Al-Qudah transformed the municipality’s administrative and financial files into a dynamic space for change, overseeing the development of operational and strategic plans, and contributing to the improvement of institutional performance and citizen services.
His practical approach, which balanced administrative organization with field engagement, had the greatest impact in strengthening trust between the municipality and the local community.
📻 Driven by his belief in the importance of media as a tool for development and transparency, Mohammad Ali Al-Qudah hosts the weekly radio program “My Municipality… How Are Things?” on Sawt Ajloun Community Radio, in partnership with the Change Makers Center for Sustainable Development.
This program has evolved into an interactive dialogue platform that brings together citizens and officials to discuss development challenges, local projects, and clarify municipal processes and the roles of elected councils.
📢 Through this media platform, Al-Qudah didn’t just highlight achievements—he actively worked to promote legal and administrative literacy related to local governance, raise awareness about the role of municipalities in economic and social development, and encourage youth and citizens to engage in public affairs and constructive accountability.
🤝 His partnership with the Change Makers Center and the radio station expanded his sphere of influence, as the center provided him with technical and training support that enabled him to establish a developmental administrative discourse linking policies with services, and reinforcing the principles of transparency and accountability in local councils—as part of the local governance reform agenda
🌍 In addition to his administrative and media roles, Al-Qudah plays a pivotal role as a member of the Community Committee of the Rural Women’s Forum, where he contributed to adopting an agenda of social justice, equitable development, and equal opportunities—especially in rural areas.
He led and participated in numerous trainings and workshops on inclusive participation and gender-responsive local development, firmly believing in the importance of integrating women and underrepresented groups into local decision-making circles, while aligning administrative and community efforts to build inclusive development that leaves no one behind.
The success achieved by Mohammad Ali Al-Qudah goes far beyond his official position—it extends to his role as a thinker, critic, and a developmental, political, economic, and service-oriented advocate at both the local and national levels.
He represents a model of an administrator who combines technical competence, developmental vision, community openness, and conscious media engagement, affirming that local governance is not merely internal organization, but a strategic partnership with the community to build a more just and sustainable future from the ground up.
