Amal Al-Qawasmeh, a leading rural development figure
Amal Al-Qawasmeh is a prominent woman in Ajloun Governorate, having successfully combined a developmental vision with a strong commitment to community service. She has spearheaded a practical approach aimed at improving the lives of rural women and enhancing their economic and social capabilities. From the outset of her career, Amal has championed a clear vision: supporting and empowering women as a fundamental element of sustainable local development.
Amal served as the head of the Jordanian Women’s Union – Ajloun branch, a position that enabled her to lead extensive initiatives targeting women across the governorate. Through this role, she worked to unify efforts among women’s associations and strengthen networking, helping to create a supportive environment for women and empowering small home-based businesses and impactful community initiatives.
She also led the Abein Women’s Charitable Association, opening new horizons for women through training and production programs that contributed to creating employment opportunities and improving the economic situation of rural families.
