“Voices for Rural Development – Sawt Ajloun Radio Project”
“The ‘Voices for Rural Development’ project seeks to empower young men and women in Ajloun Governorate by building their capacities in community media and training them to address and discuss gender issues in effective and impactful ways. The project serves as a platform for engaging youth in community development through media, by launching a community radio station called ‘Sawt Ajloun Radio’.”
“Objectives:”
“1. Building the capacities of young men and women in community media and empowering them with effective tools of expression.”
“2. Raising awareness of gender issues and the challenges faced by women in rural areas.”
“3. Supporting youth participation in addressing community issues and highlighting them through media platforms.”
“Activities:”
“1. Organizing training workshops for young men and women on the fundamentals and techniques of community media.”
“2. Providing specialized training courses in analyzing and addressing gender issues in the media.”
“3. Launching a local community radio station, ‘Sawt Ajloun Radio’, to serve as a platform for youth to voice their opinions and highlight issues in their communities.”
“Results:”
“1. Training 100 young men and women in community media skills and related professional practices.”
“2. Increasing community awareness of gender issues through purposeful and inclusive media content.”
“3. Providing a free and community-based platform that enables youth to express their opinions and contribute to solving community challenges through media.”
