Reef Space Program

The Safe Youth Political Space “Reef Space” radio program is a distinctive dialogue platform broadcast on Sawt Ajloun Community Radio. It is part of the Safe Youth Political Space Project, implemented by the Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development in partnership with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation – Germany. The program aims to create a safe and active space for youth in rural areas, enabling them to express their opinions and ambitions, discuss the main challenges facing their communities, and contribute to enhancing political and civic participation while building bridges of trust and communication between them and decision-makers.

The program focuses on key issues related to the national context and future visions, addressing national priorities and the economic modernization agenda and their impact on local development in rural areas. It also provides a platform to discuss the role of entrepreneurship as an effective tool for creating job opportunities and improving livelihoods in rural communities. Through its episodes, the program highlights the importance of integrating work and education as a strategic pathway to enhance social protection, while emphasizing the role of digital skills in improving youth’s educational and professional opportunities, thereby supporting their integration into the evolving labor market. The program also examines current labor policies and presents perspectives for reform and development aimed at promoting social justice and achieving sustainable development.

The program goes beyond theoretical discussions by hosting experts, representatives from official institutions, and young voices from the heart of rural communities, serving as a platform that reflects people’s realities and conveys their voices directly to decision-makers. In this way, the “Safe Youth Political Space” program serves as a model of purposeful community media that supports young leaders, strengthens democratic values, and reinforces the principle of public participation in shaping public policies.
