🌿 Results of the “Political Participation for a Better Future for Women in Ajloun’s Rural Areas – Rural Women’s Forum” Project:

The project “Political Participation for a Better Future for Women in the Rural Areas of Ajloun – Rural Women’s Forum” succeeded in enhancing political awareness among women in rural communities by conducting dialogue sessions and training workshops focused on the concepts of citizenship, political rights, and mechanisms of participation in decision-making.

🌸 The project contributed to building the capacities of more than 120 women from various rural areas of Ajloun, empowering them with advocacy tools and campaign planning skills to demand their political rights. As a result, it established an active women’s base equipped with knowledge and self-confidence to participate in public life.

The “Rural Women’s Forum” network was established as an organizational umbrella bringing together participating women, with the aim of ensuring the sustainability of the project’s impact and transforming it into a structured collective effort that seeks to strengthen women’s presence in local councils and decision-making centers.

🌟 The project demonstrated a positive shift in the attitudes of some local stakeholders toward women’s political participation, particularly following the organization of open debates that brought together women and community leaders. These dialogues played a key role in breaking stereotypes about the roles of women in rural areas.

🌼 The project witnessed the emergence of local women-led initiatives spearheaded by participants, including awareness campaigns on the importance of voting and running for office, as well as efforts aimed at increasing women’s participation in municipal councils in the future.
