The Executive Director of the Center for Change Agents for Sustainable Development participated today as a speaker in the Youth and Civil Society session held as part of the National Conference on Combating Violence Against Women and Girls in Jordan, which was organized by the Jordanian Women’s Solidarity Institute Association.
His participation came during a session entitled “Youth Initiatives and Associations: Towards a Violence-Free Society”, where he discussed the role of youth as active partners in reducing gender-based violence, and the importance of adopting an agenda of justice and equality as key players in national development paths.
The Executive Director emphasized that empowering youth and enhancing their participation in community initiatives contributes to raising awareness about violence issues and developing innovative tools for social impact. He stressed the importance of partnerships between civil society organizations, government agencies, and youth initiatives to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable response.
The conference concludes the “United Against Violence Against Women and Girls During and After the COVID-19 Pandemic in Jordan” project, funded by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The project involved national institutions, government bodies, local partner associations, and youth initiatives that emerged from it, reflecting the integration of national and community efforts to address violence and strengthen the protection and empowerment system in Jordan.
