The Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development is an independent institution dedicated to enhancing national and regional community cooperation, facilitating constructive dialogue, and implementing tangible programs, initiatives, and projects that contribute to achieving comprehensive development, stability, and integration among local and regional actors. The Center’s decision-making process is based on the principles of transparency, inclusiveness, and active participation of various partners and stakeholders, ensuring collective ownership and shared responsibility for its initiatives and projects.
The Board of Directors of the Center, headquartered in Ajloun, Jordan, is responsible for overseeing the implementation of strategies, programs, and development projects aligned with sustainable development priorities at both national and regional levels.
The General Director and Executive Director supervise the Board’s activities, ensuring adherence to the principles of transparency and integrity across all areas of work. They provide periodic reports to partners and the community on performance and outcomes.
Institutionally, the General Director and the Board members are selected in coordination with partners and supporting entities to ensure balanced representation and competence.
The Board is divided into several specialized units and programs covering areas such as community cooperation, capacity building, economic and social development, youth dialogue, women empowerment, and environment and climate. The team includes permanent staff, consultants, volunteers, and trainees. Recruitment and selection processes follow transparent and competitive standards, reinforcing the principles of fairness and equal opportunity.
The Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development is a pioneering community-based institution that receives its funding through partnerships with national and international organizations and development agencies such as the European Union, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as well as German, French, and Dutch institutions. Additionally, it benefits from voluntary contributions from our local and regional partners, along with support from both the public and private sectors.
The Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development is committed to the highest ethical standards by adopting a clear and comprehensive Code of Conduct that ensures the establishment of integrity, transparency, and accountability principles across all its activities and programs. The Center’s institutional values system is based on a set of documents and policies that define the relevant principles and procedures, including the Anti-Corruption and Fraud Policy, the Employee Code of Conduct, the Whistleblowing Guide, and a FAQ section regarding oversight mechanisms and reporting.
Oversight and Ethics Committee
The Center also operates through an Oversight and Ethics Committee that serves an advisory and supervisory role. It provides guidance on matters related to the Center’s adherence to the Code of Conduct and policies concerning anti-corruption and ensuring financial and administrative transparency. The Committee is responsible for receiving and reviewing reports and observations related to any potential violations, within clear and confidential mechanisms that safeguard the rights of all parties involved.
