This is part of the \u201cEmpowering Jordan\u201d project funded by the European Union, aimed at enabling associations to implement sustainable development projects through capacity building and providing institutional and technical support.<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"895\"><strong data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"895\">Humam Al-Shdifat, Project Manager of Empowering Jordan, stated that these partnerships reflect the organization\u2019s commitment to supporting local communities. He pointed out that associations form a fundamental pillar in achieving development at the grassroots level, especially in underprivileged areas.<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"1111\"><strong data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"1111\">He explained that the selection of Ajloun, Madaba, and Tafila governorates was based on a study prepared by the King Hussein Foundation\u2019s Information and Research Center, aiming to support priority communities.<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1493\"><strong data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1493\">The project includes training seven associations in each governorate in administrative, financial, and developmental fields, with a guarantee that each association will transfer the acquired expertise to two other associations. This approach expands the impact to include 21 local associations and strengthens the role of civil society institutions in sustainable development.<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1871\"><strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1871\">Majid Abu Azzam, Head of the Policies and Advocacy Department at the Information and Research Center, explained that one of the program\u2019s goals is to empower civil society institutions to work collaboratively in preparing evidence-based policy papers that address challenges related to governorates, legislation, as well as environmental, agricultural, and tourism issues.<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"2040\"><strong data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"2040\">He added that the program focuses on developing skills in writing these policy papers and using advocacy tools to amplify civil society\u2019s voice to decision-makers.<\/strong><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ajloun \u2013 ACTED, in cooperation with the King Hussein Foundation\u2019s Information and Research Center, signed partnership agreements with a number of local associations at the Center for Change Mediators for Sustainable Development in Ajloun Governorate.
