Integrated Pest Management Methods for Agricultural Pests – Session 7
Ajloun – As part of the activities of the Field School for Modern and Sustainable Agricultural Technologies, a new training session was held today, Wednesday, 7 October 2026, titled “Integrated Pest Management Methods.” The session is part of a series of practical training sessions implemented by the Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development (ICC) in cooperation with the Ajloun Directorate of Agriculture.
The session addressed the concept of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) as an approach aimed at managing pests and reducing their harmful effects through a combination of integrated agricultural and preventive methods, contributing to crop protection and the preservation of plant health and the environment.
Participants were also introduced to the key practices and methods used to reduce the spread of pests and to manage them effectively and safely, with a focus on the importance of selecting appropriate control methods according to the type of pest, the crop, and the surrounding agricultural conditions.
The session also witnessed active participation from attendees through discussions and questions about the challenges farmers face in dealing with agricultural pests, as well as ways to apply integrated pest management practices that enhance production quality and reduce agricultural losses.
This session is part of the training program of the Field School, which aims to enhance young people’s knowledge and skills in modern and sustainable agricultural technologies, bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, support sustainable agriculture practices, and promote more efficient and safer production methods.
