Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development and Arkan Foundation for Development and Training Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Enhance Youth Empowerment and Sustainable Development

Ajloun – Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development and Arkan Foundation for Development and Training signed a memorandum of understanding and joint cooperation aimed at strengthening partnership in the fields of youth and women empowerment, capacity building, and supporting developmental and entrepreneurial initiatives, contributing to the promotion of sustainable development and serving local communities, particularly in rural areas.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development by the Director General, Dr. Nadia Yaqub Al-Rabadi, while it was signed on behalf of Arkan Foundation for Development and Training by the Director General, Dr. Mohammad Sobhi Al-Ayadi, in the presence of several representatives from both organizations, along with youth, activists, and key actors in the development sector.

The memorandum aims to develop and implement specialized training programs in the fields of entrepreneurship, digital skills, economic empowerment, and capacity building for youth and women. It also seeks to promote community and volunteer work, and to implement awareness-raising and dialogue activities that contribute to strengthening community participation and fostering positive change.

Dr. Nadia Yaqub Al-Rabadi emphasized that this partnership represents an important step toward strengthening integration among civil society organizations and expanding the scope of developmental and training programs targeting youth and women. She noted that the partnership will contribute to their economic and social empowerment and open new horizons for their active participation in sustainable development.

She added that Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development seeks, through such partnerships, to develop qualitative initiatives that respond to the needs of rural communities and promote a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and community engagement, in addition to connecting young people with economic opportunities and the labor market.

For his part, Dr. Mohammad Sobhi Al-Ayadi affirmed that the agreement represents an important step toward building effective cooperation between the two organizations in the fields of training, qualification, and skills development, in a manner that aligns with the needs of young people and the requirements of the labor market. He added that the agreement will contribute to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship and strengthening the role of youth in community development.

Both parties stressed the importance of unifying efforts and exchanging expertise to implement qualitative projects and programs that respond to the priorities of local communities, contribute to creating training and employment opportunities, and foster a supportive environment for creativity, innovation, and community engagement.

At the end of the meeting, attendees expressed their hope that this memorandum would serve as a practical step toward implementing joint initiatives and programs that create a tangible impact in local communities, and contribute to promoting sustainable development and empowering youth and women in Ajloun Governorate and across various governorates of Jordan.
