The Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development, in partnership with Sawt Ajloun Community Radio, and with the support of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development through the Empowerment Window for Supporting Political Projects, launched the first training program within the project “From Vision to Implementation: Investing in Youth through Political Parties for a Promising Political Future”, targeting a group of young leaders from various governorates across the Kingdom, including both party-affiliated and non-party-affiliated youth.

The Director General of the Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development, Ms. Nadia Rabadi, inaugurated the training activities by welcoming the participants and emphasizing the Center’s commitment to investing in youth potential and strengthening their role in public life. She also highlighted the key programs and services implemented by the Center in the fields of political empowerment, sustainable development, and capacity building, noting that the Center continues to provide dialogue and training spaces that contribute to preparing young leaders capable of creating a positive impact in their communities.

For her part, Project Manager Reham Al-Qudah presented the idea and objectives of the “From Vision to Implementation” project, explaining that it is implemented in partnership with Sawt Ajloun Community Radio and supported and funded by the King Abdullah II Fund for Development. The project aims to empower youth, enhance their active participation in political and party life, and raise their awareness of the opportunities provided by the political modernization system, contributing to preparing young leaders capable of engaging in party work and participating in the upcoming electoral processes at the levels of municipal councils, governorate councils, and the House of Representatives.

The two-day training program addresses a range of key topics, most notably youth political participation, party work, political pluralism, and the role of youth in the political modernization process. It also includes an introduction to the Political Parties Law and the role of youth as active leaders within political parties, as well as the Election Law for the House of Representatives and the political opportunities provided by party work to participate in the upcoming elections. In addition, the program discusses the opportunities available for youth in municipal and governorate council elections and introduces the draft Local Administration Law and the key opportunities it includes to enhance youth participation in decision-making.

The training aims to enhance participants’ understanding of the legislation related to political modernization and develop their capacities to engage in party work and political participation, in a way that strengthens youth presence in leadership positions and decision-making processes.

This training represents the first milestone of the project, which seeks to prepare a group of young leaders capable of leading political dialogue, contributing to the development of public policies, and enhancing youth political participation at both the local and national levels.

It is worth noting that the Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development aims to strengthen the role of communities, particularly youth and women, as agents of change across all economic, social, political, and cultural fields, and to invest in their energies and capacities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
