Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development Participates in the Announcement of the “Tamkeen” Project Results and Launches the “From Vision to Implementation: Investing in Youth for a Promising Political Future” Project in Ajloun
Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development , represented by Ms. Nadia Al-Rabadi, participated in the ceremony announcing the results of the third cycle of the “Tamkeen” project supporting political initiatives in Jordan. The event featured the announcement of the organizations selected to receive funding for projects aimed at strengthening political participation, empowering youth and women, and supporting political modernization efforts in the Kingdom.
Among the winning projects, the Center is implementing the “From Vision to Implementation: Investing in Political Parties’ Youth for a Promising Political Future” project, in cooperation with Sawt Ajloun Community Radio and with support and funding from the King Abdullah II Fund for Development.
The project aims to enhance youth participation in political life and encourage political parties to invest in and empower young people, particularly in the rural areas of Ajloun Governorate, enabling them to take on leadership roles and participate actively in political and party-related dialogues. This is in line with Jordan’s Political Modernization Vision, the Political Parties Law, and the Election Law.
The project is built around providing a multi-stakeholder political dialogue platform that enables young people to express their aspirations and priorities directly to decision-makers, political party representatives, and political figures. This contributes to building bridges of trust, fostering mutual understanding around development issues from a youth perspective, and reinforcing the role of young people as active partners in decision-making.
The project targets young men and women from various rural communities in Ajloun Governorate through an interactive training program that combines capacity building, specialized training, fieldwork, and the development of a recommendations paper reflecting youth priorities. This will culminate in direct political dialogues with decision-makers and stakeholders, strengthening youth participation in developing policies and programs that respond to the needs of their local communities and contributing to building a more inclusive and sustainable political future.
The implementation of this project aligns with Jordan’s Political Modernization Vision, which emphasizes the importance of expanding youth participation in public life and providing them with opportunities to contribute to policymaking and decision-making. This, in turn, strengthens local development and promotes the values of active citizenship and meaningful participation.
Intermediaries of Change Center for Sustainable Development reaffirms its commitment to continuing its efforts to implement programs and initiatives that contribute to empowering youth and women, strengthening community dialogue, and building partnerships with various institutions. These efforts aim to advance sustainable development, enhance the role of youth as leaders of change in their communities, and strengthen their engagement with political parties in line with Jordan’s Political Modernization Vision, contributing to their role as active partners in development and decision-making.
