Enhancing youth empowerment and capacity building to bridge the skills gap and promote entrepreneurship in Ajloun Governorate
For sustainable development, and in partnership with the Ajloun Community Development Radio, and in cooperation with members of the Safe Youth Rural Space, and with the support of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, a participatory dialogue meeting was held bringing together the management of the Jordan River Foundation with youth leaders, along with the management of the center and the Ajloun Community Radio.
This meeting is in line with the goals of the Jordan River Foundation, led by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, and the pioneering role it plays in developing youth and local communities, and enhancing their economic and social capabilities, in order to contribute to building a prosperous society capable of innovating solutions to its challenges.
The meeting aims to discuss the priorities of young men and women in Ajloun Governorate and explore the design of a specialized program to bridge the skills gap among university graduates, particularly in entrepreneurship, project management, and interpersonal and digital communication skills. This will enhance their chances of entering the job market and support their initiative to launch their own businesses, especially in rural communities. The meeting also provides an important platform to leverage the Jordan River Foundation’s expertise in supporting community initiatives and youth entrepreneurship, and to explore opportunities for joint cooperation in developing training and empowerment programs that contribute to building young people’s capacities and enhancing their economic opportunities.
